Miami’s 2001 national champions mostly played in orange at home and white on the road. The team also had green alternate jerseys built on the same design, but wore them only twice that season, according to SportsLogos.net. That is why the green version of the Malachi Toney No. 1 2001 throwback is the rarest look of the three.
Same Design, Different Color
The green alternates followed the 2001 template: Dade Bold numbers, multicolor shoulder and sleeve piping and side stripes. Only the base color changed.
What Miami Chose for 2026
For the 25th-anniversary throwbacks, Miami built an orange home jersey and a white road jersey. In its reveal, the white jersey was paired with green pants, so green still shows up in the 2026 look, just not on the top.
Who the Green Version Suits
- Fans who already own an orange or white Miami jersey.
- Collectors who like the less common look from a famous season.
- Anyone who wants to stand out in a crowd of orange at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Toney Connection
Malachi Toney modeled the 2001 throwback at its reveal in September 2026 and wore the home version against Pitt, where he caught a school-record 16 passes. A green Toney throwback keeps his current No. 1 and the 2001 template while picking the color the 2001 team saved for special occasions.
Check the Color Before Ordering
Fan versions of the Toney throwback are listed in green, orange and white. Make sure the color in the product title or option menu is the one you want before adding a size.
